The Algerine sank near Erik Harbour just east of present day Pond Inlet not long after arriving in the area; the Neptune, spent little time here and finding no gold returned home that year along with the crew of the Algerine; while the Minnie Maud, captained by Joseph Bernier, spent the winter in Albert Harbour, returning south in 1913 also without any gold.
